Difference Between $AUM and Asset Tokens
Asset Tokens are Compressed Non-Fungible Tokens (cNFTs) [TBD still, token hooks and SPL22's] minted on the Solana blockchain. They represent fractional ownership of a whole tokenized property. Each Asset Token represents a fractional stake in its corresponding property. For example, Asset Token #1 represents Property #1; Asset Token #2 represents Property #2, and so on.
$AUM is the liquid-staking derivative (LSD) on the Token2022 standard. All Asset Tokens can earn $AUM, allowing holders to leverage their existing cNFTs for use in decentralized finance (DeFi).
